Meth-Head Magoon charged with DUI death when mowing down 8-year-old skateboarder

PAYSON, UTAH – Payson Police reports that a motorist was drugging it up on her cruise down West 680 South when making an overly wide turn at an intersection and smashed into a boy on a skateboard, killing him in the process. The fatal crash took place on March 20, 2016, at 4:35. The motorist was charged with driving under the influence, improper turn, and causing the death of another while operating a motor vehicle which is a second-degree felony.

The woman, identified by police as 37-year-old Tabatha Magoon, was arrested on suspicion of second-degree felony negligent driving, and a class B misdemeanor count of DUI.

The Daily Herald reported that a rapid urine test conducted on Magoon’s urine showed that she was driving while intoxicated on amphetamines, opiates, methamphetamine and oxycodone.  Magoon told police that she used meth at about 1 a.m. Sunday morning, reports state.
