The following arrests for DUI are reported by the Windham County Vermont Sheriff’s Office

Benjamin D. Tweedy, 29, of West Townshend, VT., was arrested for Driving Under the influence of Alcohol. Tweedy was stopped by the Windham County Sheriff’s Department on Vt. Rt. 30 in Townshend where subsequent investigation revealed that he was Driving Under the Influence. Tweedy was arrested and transported to the Windham County Sheriff’s Department where he was processed and released. Tweedy will appear at a later date at the Windham County Superior Court Criminal Division.
Nikolas J. Rowley 29, of South Londonderry, VT., was arrested February 6th, 2011 for driving under the influence of alcohol and for driving with a criminally suspended license. Rowley was stopped by the Windham County Sheriff’s Department for a speeding violation on Rt. 30 in West Townshend. Rowley was arrested and transported to the Windham County Sheriff’s Department where he was processed and released. Rowley was cited to appear at the Windham Superior Court, Criminal Division at a later date.
Karen A. Serricchio, 49, of Townshend, VT.,  was arrested Feb. 4, 2011 for DUI in West Townshend. Serricchio was stopped by the Windham County Sheriff’s Department for speed on Vt. Rt. 30 in the West Townshend Village. Subsequent investigation revealed Serricchio to be under the influence of alcohol and driving with a suspended license. Serricchio was arrested and transported to the Windham County Sheriff’s Office where she was processed and released. Serricchio will appear at the Windham Superior Court Criminal Division at a later date.

Brooke A Shaughnessy, 20, of Uxbridge MA, was arrested Thursday night, January 6th, 2011 for DUI and False Information to a Police Officer. Shaughnessy’s vehicle was stopped on Westminster Heights Road by the Windham County Sheriff’s Department just before 9PM for minor motor vehicle violations. Investigation revealed Shaughnessy to be under the influence of alcohol. She was lodged at the Southern State Correctional Facility until she was sober. She will appear at the Vermont Superior Court Criminal Division to answer to the charges at a later date.

 Brandon C. Bernier,26, of Putney Vermont was arrested by the Windham County Sheriff’s Department on December 16, 2010 for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Bernier was stopped for speeding on Rt. 5 in Westminster. Bernier was transported to the Windham County Sheriff’s Office where he was processed and cited to appear at a later date.

 Todd Leclair, 46, of Brattleboro was arrested Friday, November 26, 2010 for DUI in Guilford. Leclair was stopped by the Windham County Sheriff’s Department for speeding on Route 5 in Guilford. Subsequent investigation revealed Leclair to be under the influence of alcohol. Leclair was arrested and processed for DUI. He will appear at the Windham Superior Court Criminal Division at a later date.

On 11-24-10, at approximately 1135 hours, the Windham County Sheriff’s Dept. responded to a motor vehicle crash at the Circle K and Route 30 intersection in the Town of Dummerston. After a subsequent investigation, the operator, Michael Bills of Brattleboro, was arrested for DUI. Bills was cited to appear in the Windham Superior Court – Criminal Division to answer to the charge.
Michael Perry, 44, of Waterford Connecticut was arrested early Saturday evening, October 9th, 2010 for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Perry was stopped by the Windham County Sheriff’s Department for traveling double the speed limit on Route 30 in Jamaica. Perry subsequently was arrested and processed for DUI and will appear at the Windham Superior Court Criminal Division at a later date.

Sarah Benson, 36, of Westminster, was arrested Friday, October 1st, 2010 for DUI and Cruelty to a Child. Benson was stopped on Route 5 in Dummerston by the Windham County Sheriff’s Department following a report that she was driving under the influence with her daughter in the vehicle. Benson blew a .106% BAC and was subsequently processed. She was cited to appear at a later date to answer to the charges.
John M. Wright, 55, of Dummerston, was arrested Saturday, September 18th, 2010 for driving under the influence of alcohol. The Windham County Sheriff’s Department stopped Wright’s vehicle on US Route 5 in Dummerston, after it was observed driving without any rear lights on. Investigation revealed Wright to have a blood alcohol content of .128% roadside. Wright will appear in the Windham Superior Court Criminal Division to answer to the charge at a later date.
