Detective Scalzo refused to take the breath test which is standard procedure for those who are arrested for DUI in Virginia.  The court will not allow this officer to testify in criminal cases without the defense attorneys being made aware of his arrest.  Therefore, there is little use in the Sheriff hiding this officer’s identity. Police officers should not drive drunk or hold up banks.
