A Bedford County sheriff’s investigator has been placed on leave after his car collided with an Altavista police car early Sunday morning.
Inv. Joshua Hubbard faces multiple charges, including driving under the influence, after driving the wrong way on U.S. 29 in Campbell County about 3:15 a.m., State Police said.
No injuries were reported, and no other vehicles were struck during the 11 miles traveled in the wrong lane of U.S. 29.
Hubbard, who was off duty at the time of the crash, was placed on administrative leave pending an internal investigation, said Maj. Ricky Gardner of
