Fairfax Police officers charged a 30-year-old, District of Columbia man with driving under the influence of drugs after a pursuit that began around 2:25 a.m. on Sunday, February 21, 2016.

A 1996 Toyota sedan was observed with improper license plates and the driver was suspected of being under the influence. Multiple officers attempted to make a traffic stop but the driver ignored the officers’ orders to stop and fled.  During the incident, three Fairfax County Police cruisers sustained damaged after being struck by the suspect vehicle multiple times.  No officers were injured.

The incident ended in a cul-de-sac located off of Carrleigh Parkway at 2:33 a.m., with the suspect being taken into custody. He sustained minor injuries during the pursuit and was transported to a local hospital.  He was released a short time later and then transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.

The driver, Torrie Lee Wilson was charged with driving under the influence of drugs, assault on law enforcement, speed to elude, no operator’s license, and improper registration.
