Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer
Woodbridge, Va. 2014-04-08  – Prince William County Police report that on April 7th at 2:22AM, officers were processing the accused at the Garfield Station located at 15948 Donald Curtis Dr in Woodbridge (22191) for charges of driving under the influence and unreasonable refusal stemming from a vehicle stop in the 14200 block of Jefferson Davis Hwy. During the encounter, the accused became agitated and began to resist officers which led to a struggle. At one point, the accused kicked two of the officers. Minor injuries were reported. The accused was eventually detained without further incident.
Arrested on April 7th: Joshua William HARVEY, 35, of 4029 Greenville Dr in Haymarket
Charged with 2 counts of assault & battery on a LEO and 1 count of obstruction of justice [previously booked for DUI and unreasonable refusal]
