Washington: Navy Air Squadron Commander gets his wings clipped after DUI arrest

The commanding officer of an aircraft squadron at Naval Air Station Whidbey has been relieved of duty, the Navy said Tuesday.
Cmdr. Timothy F. Murphy, who led the Electronic Attack Squadron (VAQ) 129, was cited by Anacortes Police Sunday for a DUI, the Navy said in a news release. Capt. Christopher Shay relieved Murphy on Monday “due to a loss of confidence in his ability to command.”   …..MORE
