Washington State Patrol Trooper A. Martinez reports that Jesus Alvarez-Mejia, 33, of Kennewick, Wa., was operating a 1998 Volkswagon Jetta westbound on I82 at milepost 118 five miles east of Kennewick on March 24, 2016, at 8:12 pm, when he lost control, overcorrected and left the highway.

The driver was charged with DUI and the car was a total loss.
