Police say the impact killed the Uber passenger, Wendell Ken Johnson, of Chicago, and the driver, Yoruba Sly-Lundasi.

Four days after the crash, balloons left by Sly-Lundasi’s daughter remain at the crash site at 60th and Pierce in Milwaukee, more deflated but no less meaningful than the day she put them there.  …MORE

MILWAUKEE — A Milwaukee firefighter accused of driving drunk and causing a deadly crash has been released from jail.

We’re told the man had been tailgating at Miller Park hours before the crash in West Allis that killed two people.

The 31-year-old was arrested two days ago, and released Friday. He has not yet been charged in the crash.

This wouldn’t be the first time this firefighter has faced alcohol-related charges, but they are the most serious.  In a criminal complaint from 2014, the man allegedly behind the wheel Monday night was under the influence when he was shooting a gun at a campground in northern Wisconsin two years ago.

It happened in Langlade County. He tells the investigating officer in the complaint that he consumed a six pack and had some Jim Beam and that he shot his pistol because” It makes me feel better.”   …MORE
