A Renton man left paralyzed following a deadly car crash has been charged with vehicular homicide.
Filing charges nearly a year after the Seattle crash, King County prosecutors contend Sirray L. Jackson was driving drunk when he crashed on July 23. A passenger in Jackson’s car – 24-year-old Gojo Tsegai – died in the crash. ….MORE

Maryland: Michael Allan Heller and Holly Hope Fullwood died in fatal motorcycle wreck with speed and booze as contributing factors

On June 4, 2012 at approximately 11:10 p.m. officers responded to the area of Route 4 near Kingston Creek Road for a reported motor vehicle accident with injuries.  Preliminary investigation reveals, a 2002 Harley Davidson motorcycle, operated by Michael Allan Heller, 37 of Lusby, Maryland with passenger Holly Hope Fullwood, 32 of Lusby, Maryland was traveling south on Route 4 from Calvert County.  The Harley Davidson motorcycle was being followed by a 2003 Ford Taurus passenger car, operated by Richard Kenneth Cornelison, 27 of Lusby, Maryland.  The motorcycle approached a 2002 Jeep Cherokee, operated by Jacklyn Marie Cox, 21 of St. Leonard, Maryland with passenger, Katelyn Ruth Wilt, 21 of St. Leonard, Maryland in the vehicle.  The Jeep Cherokee was also traveling south on Route 4.
Police report that Heller applied brakes; however, still collided with the rear of the Jeep Cherokee.  The collision ejected both occupants of the motorcycle.  After being struck, the Jeep Cherokee skidded sideways.   Cornelison swerved to avoid the motorcycle and collided with the Jeep Cherokee. 
Michael Allan Heller was pronounced deceased at the scene.  Holly Hope Fullwood was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.  Jacklyn Marie Cox and Katelyn Ruth Wilt were transported to Calvert Memorial Hospital where they were treated and released from the hospital.  Richard Kenneth Cornelison was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital where he was treated and released. 
Members of the Sheriff’s Office Crash Reconstruction Team responded to the scene and assumed the investigation.  Speed and alcohol are being investigated as contributing factor to the collision.  Dfc. Timothy Reese is the primary Reconstructionist assigned to investigate the collision.  Anyone who may have witnessed the collision is asked to contact Dfc. Reese at 301-475-4200 extension 9115.
