Stueber was also sentenced to two years in state prison, but that sentence was suspended, according to a statement from the Orange County district attorney’s office.
Prosecutors said that Stueber was the designated driver for a group of friends — three other Marines stationed at Camp Pendleton — after a night of drinking at a tavern in San Clemente.

Wyoming: 7th DUI nets Joseph Glenn Streicher two years in slammer, Judge adds on $5,000 fine to get his attention

by admin ·

From Laramie Boomerang
A former Encampment man was sentenced Thursday to two years in prison on his seventh conviction of driving under the influence (DUI).
Joseph Glenn Streicher, 49, of Germantown, Wis., was sentenced in 2nd Judicial District Court to 20-24 months in prison for one count of felony DUI.
Felony DUI, when a person is convicted of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs four or more times in a 10-year period, is punishable by imprisonment for up to two years, a fine of up to $10,000 or both.
In addition to the prison sentence, District Judge Jeffrey Donnell imposed a $5,000 fine on Streicher.
“If prison time won’t get your attention, maybe a hit in the wallet will,” he told Streicher.
Speaking softly and spending most of his time looking down at the table in front of him, Streicher said he wanted to get help for his alcoholism.
“I’m sorry,” he said.
Streicher’s attorney, Laramie public defender Randy Hiller, asked the court to grant his client supervised probation and placement in the Albany County Adult Drug Court.
“I think that Mr. Streicher has much concern about straightening   ….MORE
