With this in mind, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office has launched a multi-faceted campaign of education, awareness and enforcement to battle this threat to public safety in our community. We have elected to publicize the names of those charged with the offense of Driving Under the Influence during the past week.

Georgia: Kidistz Temesgen roared down highway on DUI hell-ride; killed one, injured deputy
CONYERS — The Decatur woman accused of causing a fatal car crash when fleeing from deputies Thursday night has been charged with vehicular homicide and DUI.
Kidistz Temesgen, 39, of 3035 Pasadena Drive, has been charged by the Georgia State Patrol with DUI, homicide by vehicle in the first degree, serious injury by vehicle, felony fleeing or attempting to elude law enforcement, duty to stop at an accident, reckless driving, failure to maintain lane, failure to drive on the right-hand side of the road and following too closely.

California: Miguel Zaragoza Torres charged with manslaughter DUI of pedestrian in fatal in Palo Alto
The initial investigation revealed that the vehicle was traveling southbound on East Bayshore Road when it left the roadway and struck a power pole on the east curb line of the 2000 block. The vehicle rolled over and came to rest in the roadway. The deceased male was on foot in the area when he was struck and killed; at this point, it is unknown for certain where he was at the time of the collision.
