At one point, Bates turned around and faced Hamed who ordered Bates to get on the ground by gunpoint, yet Bates fled again with Hamed in pursuit. Bates ran northbound in the southbound lanes of on-coming traffic on Indianapolis Blvd. where Hamed had to physically tackle him.
