Oregon: Portland cops saved life of DUI driver Robert Harvey who stripped and attempted to jump off Morrison Bridge

According to Portland Police, on Sunday January 4, 2015, at 12:42 a.m., Central Precinct officers responded to the report of a hit and run crash at Southwest 3rd Avenue and Oak Street.

As officers were responding, they learned that the suspect vehicle crashed at Southwest 3rd Avenue and Washington Street, after hitting multiple vehicles and a pedestrian. Witnesses reported to police that the suspect ran from the vehicle after removing most of his clothing.

The driver of the moped, Philip Black, was seriously injured. His girlfriend, Valerie Shaak, was killed.

A Georgia man is facing multiple charges, including vehicular homicide and DUI, after a wrong-way crash killed one woman and sent two others to the hospital overnight in Loudon County.

A preliminary report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol shows Jacob Jonathan Nagy, from Dalton, Ga., was driving the wrong way in the southbound lanes of I-75 when he crashed head on into three vehicles around 3 a.m. at mile marker 83.
