According to Portland Police, on Sunday January 4, 2015, at 12:42 a.m., Central Precinct officers responded to the report of a hit and run crash at Southwest 3rd Avenue and Oak Street.

As officers were responding, they learned that the suspect vehicle crashed at Southwest 3rd Avenue and Washington Street, after hitting multiple vehicles and a pedestrian. Witnesses reported to police that the suspect ran from the vehicle after removing most of his clothing.

North Carolina: Robert John Leahy lodged in jail for DWI fatal; Valerie Shaak dead – moped stuck in his grill and he fled – Police said Leahy was driving along Old Statesville Road Friday night when he rear-ended the moped.

The driver of the moped, Philip Black, was seriously injured. His girlfriend, Valerie Shaak, was killed.

The driver, 61-year-old Joe Edward Abeyta of Cathlamet, Washington, was arrested on charges of Attempt to Elude by Vehicle, Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants/Drugs (DUII), Reckless Driving, Reckless Endangerment, and Interfering with Public Transportation.

A Georgia man is facing multiple charges, including vehicular homicide and DUI, after a wrong-way crash killed one woman and sent two others to the hospital overnight in Loudon County.

A preliminary report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol shows Jacob Jonathan Nagy, from Dalton, Ga., was driving the wrong way in the southbound lanes of I-75 when he crashed head on into three vehicles around 3 a.m. at mile marker 83.

Franklin County (Pa.) Court of Common Pleas Judge Shawn Meyers questioned the response of Catherine Foy’s family to developments in the case.

“They are not happy with the plea, but I think it’s legally appropriate,” Rahauser said, noting that the relatives had hung up on him when he called.

Foy, 50, illegally passed a vehicle on Pa. 16 prior to the crash. The 2007 Subaru Outback he was driving left the road and hit a porch in Peters Township, Pa.
