This investigation revealed that Ramon Cordova, 26 of La Quinta, was parking his vehicle when he collided with a pedestrian in the parking lot. Cordova was found to have been driving under the influence of an alcoholic beverage and with a suspended license at the time of this collision.

CLEVELAND – An exclusive 5 On Your Side investigation analyzed thousands of DUI accidents over ten counties and reveals Northeast Ohio’s deadliest DUI crash zones.

Relying on crash data obtained from the Ohio Department of Public Safety, our investigation mapped every alcohol related crash from 2009 through 2013.

We found 17,454 alcohol related crashes that included 449 deaths and 7,665 injuries throughout Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, Medina, Portage, Stark, Summit and Tuscarawas counties.

STATEWIDE — Later this week Coloradans will be giving thanks while enjoying the company of friends and family over a home-cooked meal –- often accompanied by beer, wine or cocktails. While many are enjoying their meals, the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT), Colorado State Patrol (CSP) and local law enforcement agencies across the state will be working hard to heighten DUI enforcement as part of their continued efforts to protect users of Colorado roadways from dangerous impaired drivers. Increased enforcement begins today and continue through Monday, Dec. 1 as part of CDOT’s ongoing The Heat Is On campaign.
