South Carolina: Drew Greene charged with DUI homicide in deaths of Michele & Joshua Silvers

Troopers said Greene blew through the red light, smashing into the Silvers’ car before three more cars were involved in the wreck.

According to Addis, Michele Silvers was driving at the time of the crash. He said she was taken to Oconee Medical Center, where she died from neck trauma due to blunt force trauma. Addis said Joshua Silvers was thrown from the passenger seat. He died on the scene from head and neck trauma

The investigation into this crash has revealed that the vehicle, a white 2005 Acura TL four door, was travelling east on Friendship Rd. Just east of the intersection with Boyds Turn Rd., the vehicle travelled off of the right side of the roadway and into the grass. Once in the grass, the driver lost control of the car. The Acura then reentered the roadway and began to spin. The vehicle then travelled across the roadway and off of the left side of the road. The Acura then travelled up an embankment and struck a light support pole and a tree before coming to rest.

South Carolina: Denise Crowley-Treier charged with DUI in death of Jonathan Friday

Investigators say Crowley-Treier was driving west in the eastbound lane of Hwy 170 when she struck Jonathan Friday’s car head-on. It all happened around 11:30 p.m. on Aug. 16. Friday’s 4-year-old daughter Sophia was in the back seat at the time.

South Carolina: Andrew Lanzaro charged with reckless homicide in death of Justin Plumlee; possible hate crime as driver charged with running down two people after leaving bar

A 31-year-old man accused in a fatal hit-and-run in Folly Beach on Saturday was arrested a few months ago for driving under the influence.
According to court records, on July 9, Andrew Lanzaro was arrested for driving under the influence, narcotics and simple possession of marijuana. He was released on a $26,642 bond.

Court records state Lanzaro was also arrested on July 18 for public drunkenness, and was released.
