BEAUFORT CO., SC (09/06/2014) – A Bluffton woman has been arrested and charged in the Aug. 16 wreck that killed a single father in the Lowcountry.
The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office says 62-year-old Denise Crowley-Treier is now being charged with DUI in the case.
Investigators say Crowley-Treier was driving west in the eastbound lane of Hwy 170 when she struck Jonathan Friday’s car head-on. It all happened around 11:30 p.m. on Aug. 16. Friday’s 4-year-old daughter Sophia was in the back seat at the time.Â
Friday was pronounced dead at the scene and both Sophia and Crowley-Treier were taken to Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah with minor injuries. ….MORE
