South Carolina: Robert Lewis Frady Jr faces DUI murder rap for killing Donald Ray Brown in crash
Donald Ray Brown, of Travelers Rest, was the driver of a vehicle that was struck by an SUV just north of Williams Road around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. Brown had to be extricated from his car and was flown to Greenville Memorial Hospital, where he later died, according to the Greenville County Coroner’s Office.

His friends thought he was OK to drive, he said.
“It’s embarrassing,” he said. “I’m ashamed. It was an honest mistake.
“But the fact remains, I was over the limit — so sayeth the law.”
The incident doesn’t reflect on his leadership capabilities and he hopes others also learn from his lapse in judgment, he said.
