South Carolina: Deputy Coroner was dead drunk; busted for DUI

WEST COLUMBIA, S.C. (08/21/2014) – A deputy coroner with the Lexington County Coroner’s Office has been arrested on DUI charges.

Barry Wright was arrested August 19 on driving under the influence charges and accused of having an open 24-ounce beer in his vehicle.

According to an incident report, Wright was found asleep at the wheel of his county-owned Ford Explorer shortly before 5 p.m. on Tuesday. The report goes on to say the car was still running and parked in the middle of Kleckley Drive. A West Columbia police

08/15/2014As previously released by the Kingsport Police Department, on June 9, 2014 at approximately 2:00 PM, Kingsport Police Patrol and Traffic Units responded to Interstate 81 at Mile Marker 64.8 in reference to a single vehicle crash. Their subsequent investigation revealed the following:

A red 1992 Geo Tracker was northbound on Interstate 81 at mile marker 64.8. The vehicle was occupied by driver, James C. Hoover, and front seat passenger, Jackson David Meadows.

A Georgia man is facing multiple charges, including vehicular homicide and DUI, after a wrong-way crash killed one woman and sent two others to the hospital overnight in Loudon County.

A preliminary report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol shows Jacob Jonathan Nagy, from Dalton, Ga., was driving the wrong way in the southbound lanes of I-75 when he crashed head on into three vehicles around 3 a.m. at mile marker 83.
