South Carolina: 2nd dead in DUI crash of Craig Austin Livingston charged with DUI manslaughter

A Loris man was charged in connection with a fatal crash that killed a passenger in one of the two cars, according to authorities.

Craig Austin Livingston, 32, Loris was booked into J. Reuben Long Detention Center at 1:20 a.m. Tuesday on charges of felony driving under the influence with great bodily injury, felony DUI with death results and open container of beer/wine in a vehicle, according to jail records.

New York: Prosecutor Evan P. Thomson – who locks up DWI drivers – busted for DWI by State Police after he booze-cruised down embankment- The investigation revealed Evan P. Thomson, a 26-year-old Morrisonville, New York resident, was the sole occupant in a vehicle northbound on I-87 and had traveled off the west portion of the roadway, striking the guide rails and proceeding down a steep embankment. Thomson declined medical attention at the scene.
After failing standardized field sobriety tests, Thomson was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated and transported to SP Lewis.

The Hyundai Santa Fe then collided into a Volkswagen Beetle that was traveling northbound on Bob Hope Drive. The female driver of the 2004 Volkswagen Beetle sustained major injuries and was immediately transported to a regional medical center. She was later pronounced dead at the hospital. The driver and passenger in the Hyundai Santa Fe were not injured during the collision.
