New York: State Police note DWI arrests; Johnny Gularte leads the list for June 5, 2014

45-year-old Timothy J. Dishaw of Lisbon, was operating a 2006 Dodge pick up truck, when he struck the rear driver side tire of the school bus. The school bus was carrying six children and one adult passenger and as well as the driver. There were no reported injuries to any of the occupants on the bus.

Dishaw was transported to Claxton-Hepburn Hospital where he was treated for a broken ankle. Dishaw also consented to a blood test to determine his blood alcohol content.

New York: State Police arrest Almond Upton; charged with intentionally murdering Trooper Christopher Skinner on highway

After traveling approximately one mile, just north of exit 6, between Chenango Bridge and Castle Creek, Upton spotted Trooper Skinner conducting a traffic stop, traveled from the passing to driving lane intentionally striking Trooper Skinner and sideswiped the car he stopped.

Trooper Skinner was killed instantly.

Alabama: Ricky Wade Adams killed Harvey Glenn Moore in crash; victim was close to home when hit by DUI driver

Authorities said a two-vehicle collision Saturday in Limestone County killed an Athens man, leading to the arrest of the other vehicle’s driver. Harvey Glenn Moore, 73, was traveling East New Garden Road in a 1991 Pontiac sedan when he was struck by a 2002 Ford pickup truck driven by Rickey Wade Adams, 49, of Athens, according to state troopers and Limestone Coroner Mike West.

California: Miquel Angel Zarate-Reyes smashed into restaurant on his DUI cruise, then fled, say police

Coachella Police officers checked the area and located a vehicle a short time later matching the description of the vehicle involved in the collision. The driver, Miguel Angel Zarate-Reyes, 29 years old of Indio, was positively identified as the driver involved in the collision. Zarate-Reyes was evaluated and arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, hit and run and driving without a license
