New Jersey: Mount Olive Township Police note DWI arrest of Wesley Florance for Memorial Day

On May 17, 2014 at 7:50pm Officer Brian Braikovich was dispatched to the Village Mall located on Route 206 South for the report of a single car motor vehicle accident. Officer Braikovich arrived on scene and observed a 2011 Audi in the fire lane next to a damaged post. The Audi also had a considerable amount of damage and Officer Braikovich approached the vehicle to speak with the driver. Officer Braikovich identified the driver as Sidney Brace who appeared to be impaired due to alcohol consumption. Officer Braikovich conducted field sobriety tests and Mr. Brace was subsequently arrested and transported to police headquarters. At headquarters Brace submitted to chemical tests and was charged with D.W.I., Reckless Driving, Careless Driving, and Unclear Plates. Brace was released to a sober driver and he has a pending court appearance.

An OSP trooper spotted the car, a 2010 Chevrolet Aveo four-door, southbound near milepost 235 and witnessed continued poor, erratic driving. The trooper tried to stop the car but the driver failed to yield, speeding up to near 90 mph for about two miles before slowing and yielding at approximately 4:37 p.m. near milepost 231

New Jersey: Lacey Township Police note DUI arrests for April 22, 2014; vehicles impounded under “John’s Law”

On Monday, January 20, 2014, at 10:54 p.m., Officer Evan Androcy conducted a traffic stop on Route 9 South near Station Drive, in Forked River. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, 31-year-old Stanley N. Zalewski, of Imperato Court in Toms River for DUI. He was transported to police headquarters and processed. Stanley N. Zalewski was later released after receiving traffic summonses for DUI, Reckless Driving, Failure to Maintain Lane, and Failure to Exhibit both insurance and registration documents. The vehicle Stanley N. Zalewski was operating was impounded pursuant to John’s Law.
