Oregon: Portland Police believe booze involved in fatal motorcycle crash on I-84; Peter Todd Davies dead on scene

On Saturday December 6, 2014, at 12:56 a.m., East Precinct officers responded to the report of a motorcycle crash on I-84 eastbound at the I-205 southbound exit.

Officers and medical personnel responded and began treating the rider, 37-year-old Peter Todd Davies of Gresham, and his passenger, 23-year-old Jessica Lauren Dunn. Prior to the arrival of medical personnel, Dunn and a passerby were attempting to render aid to Davies who was suffering from traumatic injuries.

Maryland: boozing motorcylist Jose Luis Fuentes flew his new Harley into rear of dump truck

Preliminary investigation indicates the driver of the motorcycle, 2014 Harley Davidson, was traveling north on Route 5 when it struck the rear of a 1996 Ford dump truck being operated by Robert Dade of Mechanicsville. The dump truck had just turned left from Thompsons Corner Road onto Route 5 when the collision occurred. The driver of the motorcycle was ejected. No other injuries were reported

New York: State Police report DWI driver roundup for Aug. 26, 2014; Brian C. Reynolds leads the list!

Kirkwood, NY – August 22, 2014) On August 22, 2014, Troopers from SP Binghamton arrested William J. Kurtz, 56, of Binghamton, NY for Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated with a reportable BAC result of .19% and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana. The arrest resulted from a vehicle and traffic law stop for not having a working headlight while driving on Upper Court Street in Kirkwood, NY. An investigation determined that he was driving while intoxicated. When searched he was found to unlawfully possess approximately 1.6 grams of marihuana in a clothing pocket. Mr. Kurtz was issued tickets returnable to the Town of Kirkwood Court on September 9, 2014.

Maryland: Too fast on curve with booze led to flight in chopper for Scott Lloyd-Owen; two tickets for speeding last year didn’t slow him down

Maryland State Police report that on August 16, 2014 at approximately 9:21 pm, Troopers from the Maryland State Police Leonardtown Barrack responded to the area of Rue Purchase Road, north of Dunleigh Drive for a reported motor vehicle collision involving a motorcycle.

Preliminary investigation revealed a yellow and black 2003 Suzuki GSX-R 750 motorcycle, operated by Scott Lloyd-Owen, 25, of California, was traveling north on Rue Purchase Road. Lloyd-Owen failed to properly negotiate a turn in the roadway, and the motorcycle traveled off the roadway and struck a guardrail.
