Lamont Hampton, 52, of Columbia was killed when his vehicle, a 2004 Chrysler SUV, was struck from behind and knocked off the roadway into a tree at about 7 a.m. The crash occurred on westbound I-20 near 69 mile marker, between Monticello and Fairfield roads.

Kentucky: Judge allowed Cody File out of jail on probation in DUI plea deal after he killed Caroline Minks; busted again for DUI

Authorities say in 2009, 18-year-old Caroline Minks was killed in a drunk driving accident with Cody File behind the wheel on River Rd. He was sentenced to 14 years after pleading guilty to manslaughter, but only served eight months before he was granted shock probation.

Last month, 23-year-old File was arrested again for driving drunk in Henry County. He’s charged with DUI, failure to report a traffic accident and operating on a suspended license.

Alvin Henson was released from the hospital and was immediately taken into custody. He has been booked into the Cache County Jail, and his charges include DUI (2nd degree felony), driving on alcohol restriction (B misdemeanor), and failure to install an interlock device (B misdemeanor). Mr. Henson has prior DUI arrests in his history.

Illinois: Pending law grad Laura Anne LaPlante took a cab; Eric Johnson drove his booze cruise…she is dead, he faces DUI murder rap

The driver, whose vehicle collided with the taxi, killing Laura Anne LaPlante, of Hancock, N.H., and injuring himself and two others, was charged in connection with the crash Saturday night.

Erik Johnson, 23, of the 3500 block of North Janssen Avenue, is due in court Sunday. He was charged with reckless homicide and driving under the influence.
