A Duluth police investigator seven days from retirement was hospitalized today after an accused drunk driver ran a red light and struck the officer driving an unmarked squad car.
Veteran property crimes investigator Don Boso suffered numerous injuries and is hospitalized in St. Luke’s hospital in stable condition.  According to Duluth police, Duane Porter, 25, of Bemidji, failed to stop for a red light while driving west on Central Entrance about 6:20 a.m. Both vehicles were occupied only by the drivers. …MORE
