California: Damon Drew Deatherage charged with DUI but he got a free bandage for boo boo

Driving while impaired can cause you to end up with a big ugly bandage on your big head when having your mugshot taken

LAKE ELSINORE, CALIF. — According to Riverside County Sheriff Sergeant Brett Seckinger, on Friday, March 17, 2017, about 7:45 P.M., officers from the Lake Elsinore Police Station responded to a reported head-on traffic collision near the intersection of Lakeshore Drive and Jernigan Street.

The first officer arrived on scene and located a 2003 Ford F150 truck with front end damage and a 2015 Chrysler 200 with front end damage in the roadway. The driver of the truck was suffering from lacerations to his face and was transported to a local hospital by ambulance. It was determined he was driving under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. No other persons involved in this collision were injured.

Damon Drew Deatherage, 48 years old, and a resident of Lake Elsinore was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. Mr. Deatherage was cleared from the hospital and transported to the Southwest Detention Center in Murrieta and booked for Driving Under the Influence.

Booze not good for a cruise for Aaron Montes

According to Sergeant Mike Bianco on Friday, March 03, 2017, at 11:30 PM, officers from the Coachella Police Department responded to a traffic collision on Avenue 50 and Avenida De Oro. Aaron Montes, age 27 of Coachella, was traveling westbound on Avenue 50 when his vehicle collided with another vehicle. No injuries were sustained in this collision. The investigation revealed Montes was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. After being medically cleared at a local hospital, Montes was booked at the Riverside County Jail in Indio on charges of DUI.

The Coachella Police Department encourages the motoring public to not operate a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. To report drunk drivers, please call 911.

 

Hit and Run Was Jana’s Style when DUI

Jana Ray Sternlieb, 55 of Rancho Mirage, was arrested for hit and run DUI 022517 La Quinta Police

Police report that on Saturday, February 25, 2017, at 10:32 P.M.  the La Quinta Police Department responded to a traffic collision at the intersection of Washington Street and Avenue 50.  A 2014 Toyota sedan collided with a 2005 Mercedes coupe.  The driver of the Mercedes sustained minor injuries.  The Toyota sedan fled the scene northbound on Washington Street and a La Quinta Police officer caught up to the vehicle and stopped it a short distance away.  The driver of the Toyota, Jana Ray Sternlieb, 55 of Rancho Mirage, was arrested for hit and run and suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol causing injury.
