Gustavo Aguirre charged with DUI after getting a wall-in-one

Gustavo Aguirre, 37 years of La Quinta, DUI crash charged by Indian Wells Police June 28, 2018

According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, on Thursday, June 28, 2018, at approximately 6:23 PM, officers from the Indian Wells Police Department responded to a traffic collision in the 76-000 block of Highway 111., Indian Wells.

It was determined the driver, Gustavo Aguirre, 37 years of La Quinta, was traveling eastbound on Highway 111 when he collided with another vehicle who was also traveling eastbound on Highway 111. After the vehicles collided, Aguirre’s vehicle veered off the road and colliding into a wall adjacent to Highway 111.

During the investigation, it was determined that Aguirre showed symptoms of being under the influence of alcohol.  Aguirre was arrested for driving while under the influence of alcohol and was transported to a local hospital as a precaution.  Once treated, he was booked into the Riverside County Jail in Indio.

On Friday, June 29, 2018, at approximately 2:17 AM, officers from the Palm Desert Police Department responded to a traffic collision in the 72-000 block of Dinah Shore Dr., Palm Desert. It was determined the driver, Marcus Rover, 22 years of Palm Desert, was traveling eastbound in the parking lot of a business and collided with a fire hydrant causing moderate damage to his vehicle. Rover did not sustain any injuries because of the collision. During the investigation, it was determined Rover showed symptoms of being under the influence of alcohol. Rover was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and was later transported to a local hospital as a precaution. Rover was then transported and booked into the county jail in Indio.
