California: man driving bloody car in sobriety checkpoint found to have killed pedestrian

LANCASTER – A drunken 25-year-old man stopped at a checkpoint in Lancaster with blood on his vehicle was booked Saturday in the hit-and-run death of a pedestrian, a sheriff’s lieutenant said. Isidro Peralta of Littlerock booked on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter, felony hit-and-run and felony driving under the influence, said sheriff’s Lt.
