A previously convicted drunken driver is due to make his first appearance before an Orange County judge today since allegedly causing a fatal DUI crash in Anaheim last month while again driving drunk.
Yannis Ismael Galanis was arrested Monday night on a warrant alleging felony gross vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence while intoxicated, according to Deputy District Attorney Nancy Hayashida.
Galanis also faces charges of drunken driving causing injury with a prior conviction and faces a sentence-enhancing allegation of causing bodily injury. He was convicted of driving under the influence in 2002 in Los Angeles County, Hayashida said. ….MORE
