Illinois: Cops charged Ignacio Ramirez with killing man on bicycle and DUI reckless homicide…and fleeing

An intoxicated motorist who allegedly tried to flee police after he struck and killed a bicyclist early Tuesday in the Southwest Side Pilsen neighborhood has been charged, police said.
Ignacio Ramirez, 38, of the 500 block of West Walton Street, was charged with aggravated DUI, reckless homicide, aggravated fleeing police, and leaving the scene of a fatal accident, according to a police News Affairs release.
He is also accused of failing to stop at a stop sign, driving under the influence of alcohol and driving without a license or insurance, the release said. He is scheduled to appear for a bond hearing later Wednesday…..MORE
