Andrew Goebel Arrested after Driving 104 mph on SR 66

Vanderburgh County – Indiana State Police report that on March 12, 2020, at approximately 12:18, Trooper Zack Fulton was patrolling SR 66 near Big Cynthiana Road when he stopped the driver of a 2016 Dodge Ram pickup truck for driving 104 mph in a 60 mph zone.
According to police, the driver was identified as Andrew Goebel, 49, of New Harmony. Goebel displayed signs of impairment and failed field sobriety tests. Further investigation revealed he had a blood alcohol content of .12%. He was arrested and taken to the Vanderburgh County Jail where he is currently being held on bond.

Arresting Officer: Trooper Zack Fulton, Indiana State Police
Trooper Zack Fulton, 22, of Evansville, is a 2012 graduate of Mater Dei High School and a 2016 graduate of the University of Southern Indiana. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology and Criminal Justice Studies. He was also employed by the university as a student security officer while he attended school. Fulton resides in Vanderburgh County and will primarily patrol Posey County.
