Maryland: Adam Ireland made it to the church on time…to be busted for dope and DWI


Hit & Run Motor Vehicle Collision, Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance

On December 14, 2012 deputies responded to a report of a hit and run motor vehicle collision.  Witnesses report a passenger vehicle was traveling north in the southbound lanes onThree   Notch Road in Lexington Park, Maryland.  The vehicle struck a sign and then pulled into a local church parking lot.  Deputies located the vehicle in the church parking lot and contacted the driver Adam Peter Ireland, 31 of Solomon’s,Maryland.  Deputies observed the right front tire of Ireland’s Mercury Sable was flat. Irelanddisplayed signs of intoxication.  He was given a standardized field sobriety test.  At the conclusion of the test he was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.  A search incident toIreland’s arrest revealed he was also in possession of suspected marijuana. Ireland was also charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
