CUMBERLAND, MD. — On 08/17/2012 at approximately 20:16 hours Deputies of the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office responded to National Pike in Flintstone in the area of Billie’s Gas and Grub for a reported serious motor vehicle crash.
Deputies arrived on scene and based upon preliminary investigation determined that a 1997 Saturn car being driven by 26 year old Daniel Weaver of Fort Ashby WV. failed to yield the right of way while exiting a parking lot onto National Pike. A 1986 GMC Truck being operated by 26 year old Melvin Emory James Gallion of Flintstone MD. was traveling E/B on National Pike and struck Weaver’s vehicle.
