DUI/Drug Arrest
— 05/13/2014– According to the Maryland State Police, on Friday, May 2, 2014 at 4:21 pm, TFC D. Buckalew and Sgt. M. Laney responded to the Callaway Car Wash for a report of a suspicious vehicle.  The vehicle was located inside one of the wash bays.

Sgt. Laney approached the vehicle and determined that it was running and observed a subject leaning out of the driver’s side door vomiting.  When the subject observed Sgt. Laney approaching the vehicle, he turned the vehicle off and threw the keys to the passenger side vehicle.  While looking into the vehicle, TFC Buckalew observed suspected CDS in the vehicle.

The subject, Patrick Allen Churchwell, 28, of Great Mills, was placed under arrest for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, Possession of CDS Marijuana, and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center.  He was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
