Michigan: don’t travel to this land of drunken fools: NTSB says state is one of 8 worst for drunk driving and won’t ramp up laws

Washington — The National Transportation Safety Board said Michigan was one of eight states that have done the least to address hard-core drinking and driving.
The NTSB said that accounts for 70 percent of alcohol-related fatalities — defined as a driver with either a prior DWI arrest or a blood-alcohol content of 0.15 or greater.
In 2009, 7,607 of the 10,839 people killed in alcohol-related traffic accidents in the U.S. involved hard-core drinking drivers. ….MORE
