A semi-truck driver involved in a six-vehicle wreck that sent five people to the hospital Saturday night was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving, Nebraska State Patrol spokeswoman Deb Collins said.
Troopers believe the trucker, Timothy T. Ogarey, 46, of Elk Grove, Calif., was under the influence of alcohol when his semi rear-ended a pickup on Interstate 80 near the 27th Street interchange in Lincoln just after 8 p.m. Saturday.
Collins said both Ogarey’s semi and the pickup vaulted into the center barrier, where they knocked a light pole across the eastbound lanes. Neither Ogarey nor the pickup driver, a 19-year-old York man, was injured…..MORE
