According to Nashua Police, on September 6th, 2015 at 8:31pm, members of the Nashua Police Department’s Uniform Field Operation Bureau arrested Romivel Cruz, 27, of Nashua, New Hampshire for Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, Class B Felony.

Police say that on September 6th, 2015 members of the Nashua Police Department’s Uniform Field Operation Bureau responded to 722 West Hollis Street for the report of an accident involving a vehicle and a motorcycle.

Upon arrival, Officers discovered the operator of the motorcycle to have serious bodily injury and was subsequently transported to Saint Joseph’s Hospital. The victim was later pronounced deceased at Saint Joseph’s Hospital.

Officers made contact with the operator of the other involved vehicle,  Cruz. During the contact with Cruz, he displayed signs of impairment.

Based on these signs of impairment, Cruz was subsequently arrested and charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, Class B Felony. A class B felony is punishable by up to seven years imprisonment in state prison, exclusive of fines. Cruz is currently being held on $50,000 Cash or Surety bail at the Nashua Police Department
