Morristown, NY — On October 16, 2014, at approximately 2 a.m., State Police conducted a traffic stop on a 2002 Toyota Camry on State Highway 58, in the town of Morristown for failure to keep right.
The operator, 21-year-old Amanda L. Bertrand of Ogdensburg, was subsequently arrested for DWI. Her blood alcohol content was determined to be .12%. Bertrand was also found in possession of approximately five grams of marihuana, two Alprazolam pills, a small quantity of liquid THC, and other drug paraphernalia.
Bertrand was charged with DWI, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree, Unlawful Possession of Marihuana, and Possession of a Controlled Substance in Non-Originating Container, a misdemeanor under the Public
Health Law. She was also ticketed for failure to keep right. Bertrand is to appear at the Town of Morristown Court on October 27, 2014, at 1 p.m.
Johnsonville man driving ATV on road arrested for Felony DWI
10/16/2014 — State Police in Brunswick arrested 29 year old Jan M. Alberici-Bruhn from Johnsonville for Felony Driving While Intoxicated early Monday morning ( October 13). Troopers observed Alberici-Bruhn driving his Polaris all terrain vehicle on River Road in Johnsonville at about 5:00 AM. After stopping and interviewing him, Troopers detected alcohol on his breath.
New Jersey man arrested for DWI and drug possession
State Police at Machias reports: —On October 12, 2014 at approximately 1:39 a.m. troopers stopped a vehicle on Sugertown Road in the Town of Great Valley for a traffic violation. During the stop the driver was found to be intoxicated and in possession of cocaine. The driver, Sebastian Campuzano, 23, of Bergenfield New Jersey, was arrested for DWI and criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th. During processing he was found to have a blood alcohol content of .09 percent. Campuzano is to face the charges in the Town of Great Valley Court at a later date.
Boozing Ryan didn’t have on a seatbelt
Niagara Falls, NY – On October 11, 2014, Michael L. Ryan, age 40 of Niagara Falls for Driving While Intoxicated an A misdemeanor, Failure to Keep Right, Moved from Lane Unsafely and no seatbelt.
Michael L. Ryan was travelling in a northerly direction on Niagara Falls Blvd. when he was stopped for Vehicle and Traffic violations. Investigation revealed that Ryan was driving while intoxicated and transported to SP Niagara for processing where his BAC was .12%. Citations were issued returnable to the City of Niagara Falls Court for October 14, 2014.
He was sober enough to give cops a false name
Bethlehem, NY – On Sunday, October 12, 2014 at approximately 12:10 a.m. State Police responded to a minor property damage accident on Interstate 87 northbound. When the Troopers arrived they interviewed the driver of the vehicle, Damise Dixon, 26, of Schenectady who was uninjured.
Leandra’s Law Arrest
On 10/12/14 at 3:17 PM, Brentwood Troopers stopped a 2014 Jeep Wrangler on the southbound Robert Moses Causeway Main Span Bridge for failing to maintain lane and for speeding(85 mph). While interviewing the operator, Patrick Osbern, age 49, of Kings Park NY, troopers noticed obvious signs of intoxication. Mr. Osbern failed sobriety tests and was placed under arrest for DWI. Traveling with Osbern in the front passenger seat, was his 13 year old son. Osbern was taken into custody and his son was turned over to his mother.
The defendant was charged with Aggravated DWI (Leandra’s Law), Endangering the Welfare of a Child(A Misd.), and traffic violations. Mr. Osbern was held for arraignment in Suffolk County First District Court in Central Islip.
