A Briarcliff Manor police sergeant is himself facing the heat after he was accused of driving into a mailbox and charged with driving while intoxicated.
Yorktown police arrested Sgt. Dominick Bueti on the night of Dec. 3, but didn’t release information on the arrest as they do on other DWI charges until a reporter asked about it this week.
Bueti, 44, of Cortlandt is free without bail pending his next appearance in Yorktown court on Tuesday.
Lt. Kevin Soravilla of the Yorktown police, the department media liaison, said Tuesday that he has “no clue” why no press release was issued at the time of the arrest, but they are “looking into that now.” He seemed unaware that Bueti is a police officer. ….MORE
