North Carolina: Cemetery Killer indicted on murder charge by Grand Jury; DWI driver fled after killing his pal

An 18-year-old man was indicted Monday by a Pitt County grand jury on second-degree murder charges connected to a March 18 wreck on East Fifth Street that left one of his four passengers dead and another seriously injured, court records confirmed Tuesday.
Omar Solamen Chahid of Rodney Road was located at his home in the Greenwood Forest subdivision following the early-morning single-vehicle wreck involving four young passengers, according to police reports following the incident.
One of the passengers, Taylor Weiss, 22, was discovered dead at the scene after the Nissan Altima Chahid was allegedly driving crashed into the iron fencing around Greenwood Cemetery then overturned, ejecting Weiss and two women. Another woman was discovered walking on Fifth Street, apparently searching for help, police said. ….MORE
