LONGMONT — A Boulder woman suspected of causing a fatal drunken driving wreck Saturday was just two days into her probation for another DUI conviction, according to court records.
Lisa Norton, 32, was released from Longmont United Hospital on Monday and immediately arrested, with a $1 million bond, on suspicion of causing a wreck that left a 33-year-old Boulder man dead at Nelson Road and 63rd Street.
She was arrested on suspicion of DUI-related vehicular homicide, child abuse causing serious bodily injury, failing to remain on the scene of a crash resulting in death, two counts of DUI-related vehicular assault, two counts of reckless vehicular assault, DUI, driving with a revoked license, failure to provide proof of insurance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Norton was just sentenced Thursday to 12 months’ probation after pleading guilty to driving under the influence, according to Boulder County District Attorney’s Office records. In exchange for that plea, prosecutors dismissed charges of eluding a police officer, illegal lane changes, resisting arrest and a second DUI. ….MORE
