A Wilmington father was killed and his 17-year-old son was in critical condition after their bicycles were struck Sunday morning on River Road by an impaired driver, according to the N.C. Highway Patrol.
Ronald David Doolittle II, 46, was pronounced dead at the scene and his son, Ronald David Doolittle III, 17, sustained life-threatening head injuries, said Trooper B.R. Phillips
