Texas: Cowboy’s bar ‘Beamers Private Club’ cited by TABC for serving booze to the wasted;

The nightclub where two Dallas Cowboys players partied before getting into a fatal car wreck is facing legal trouble after a state investigation found problems with its alcohol service that night.

The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) determined that the club engaged in business practices “that promote excessive consumption by patrons.” It also found that the club sold alcohol to an intoxicated person, which is against the law in Texas.

The TABC released the findings Friday after looking into what happened at the club on Dec. 7 and 8 — the night  Cowboys player Jerry Brown was killed in a car driven by teammate Josh Brent.

Brent faces a charge of intoxication manslaughter after his blood-alcohol content that night measured at 0.18, more than double the legal limit.

“TABC investigators found sufficient evidence against Beamers Private Club… to allege selling alcoholic beverages to an intoxicated person as well as conducting practices that promote excessive consumption by patrons,” TABC said in a statement. …..MORE
