RIO GRANDE CITY — A candidate for Starr County Commissioners Court was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated in July.
Jesus Maria “Chuy” Alvarez was pulled over at 2:50 a.m. July 30 on U.S. 83 by a Highway Patrol officer with the Texas Department of Public Safety, according to jail booking records and the arrest report.
