Yakima County Prosecutor Jim Hagarty issues an apology this afternoon, after his arrest for drunk driving in Selah last night.
There’s disbelief at the Yakima County Courthouse over the arrest of County Prosecutor Jim Hagarty for drunk driving in Selah last night.
“They’re supposed to have a little, better image than the populace,” says Al Farnsworth of Naches.
“He just needed to pay a little more attention, if he’s going to partake in that kind of situation, he shouldn’t be driving,” says Rick Law of Naches.
The State Patrol says Hagarty rear-ended another car on South First Street about 7:15 last night. Troopers say Hagarty showed signs of impairment, so they arrested him and took him to the county jail for a breathalyzer test. The State Patrol hasn’t released the results of that test, but Hagarty was cited for D.U.I.
Hagarty released a statement this afternoon saying: ” I regret the lack of appropriate judgement made by me in this situation.” ….MORE
