A 27-year-old man was killed Sunday after a two-car crash south of Winton — and California Highway Patrol reports DUI may have been a factor.
The victim’s name hasn’t been released, pending notification of his family or next-of-kin.
The crash was reported around 2 p.m. on Winton Way near Gertrude Avenue. Edgar Tapia, 22, of Winton was driving northbound on Winton Way in a 1996 Honda Civic at a high rate of speed, approaching Gertrude Avenue, according to Officer John Patterson. …MORE
