Indian Wells Police charged Nicacio Robles-Hernandez with DUI after he rammed his Mercedes into a street sign

According to Riverside County Sheriff’s Sgt. Clayton Hughes, on Sunday, July 15, 2018, around 7:12 AM, officers from the Indian Wells Police Department received a report of a traffic collision in the area of eastbound Fred Waring Dr. X Elkhorn Trl., in the city of Indian Wells.

Police say that their investigation revealed that a white Mercedes E320 had been traveling east on Fred Waring when it lost control and collided with the center median and struck a city street sign in the center median. The driver was identified as Nicacio Robles-Hernandez, 46, of Palm Springs. He was administered a standard field sobriety test and found to be driving under the influence.  He was arrested and booked into the Riverside County Jail in Indio, with a bail of $2,500.
