Connecticut: Frank Sundstrom held on $750,000 bail; charged with DUI manslaughter in deaths of three women

A Rhode Island man was charged today in the 2012 Old Lyme wrong-way accident that took the lives of Branford, East Haven and North Haven women, state police said.
Frank  Sundstrom, 52, is charged with three counts of second-degree  manslaughter, driving the wrong way on a highway, driving under the  influence, and improper entry or leaving a highway, State Police Lt. J.  Paul Vance said.
He was held in lieu of $750,000 bail.
Sundstrom,  of Warwick, R.I., was traveling north in the southbound lane in  December, when he struck the vehicle the women were riding in head-on,  police have said.

State police have said Tamara Nolin, 71, of 17  Pepperwood Lane, Branford, Marjorie Minore, 90, of 27 Allen Road, North  Haven and Barbara Prato, 63, of 12 Maple St., East Haven were killed in  the crash.
