A Warrenton woman will spend seven years in prison for manslaughter in a drunken driving accident she caused last summer in Prince William County.

Lori Lynn Shipe, 53, pleaded guilty April 9, according to court records.

On Monday, a Prince William circuit court judge imposed the sentence for DUI-manslaughter and maiming while driving intoxicated. The judge suspended more than half of Ms. Shipe’s sentence of 20 years, 10 years for each of the two convictions. She will remain on probation for five years after release.
