County Judge Robert Fegers set Lundy’s bail at $2.5 million for each charge with special conditions such as a GPS monitor and the surrender of his passport during Monday’s first appearance hearing

LAKELAND — Timothy Alan Lundy, 58, of Hunters Run Boulevard in Lakeland, was arrested Sunday in connection with the Friday night fatal crash that killed David McCausland.

Polk County Deputies have charged Lundy with vehicular homicide, DUI manslaughter and DUI with serious bodily injury.

Deputies charge that Lundy was driving the Corvette that caused a four-vehicle crash about 6:10 p.m. on Marcum Road that threw 70-year-old McCausland of Lakeland from his Ford F150.

Lundy’s blood alcohol level, which was tested at Lakeland Regional, was 0.320, reports said. That is four times the legal limit is 0.08.

Lundy told deputies at the scene that he had been drinking beer earlier and had, “a lot,” while at Hooters, reports said.

Investigators said they talked with Hooters employee Taylor Shay, who said Lundy had been drinking a mixture of Vodka and cranberry juice.
